Welcome to 2017! after a very successful Birthday Party at SYWELL last year for BRUG and others as our Luscombes hit around the 70 year old mark another well intentioned Luscombe meet up and beer is now being considered. Let's get some more ideas around the table and execute them- life is rushing us past and soon the Luscombes will out live us!! The Luscombe site is stable at present and an excellent source for tech talk and events. So let's try and make 2017 a year to remember! safe flying all and look forward to meeting as many as we can get together over the year! Cheers, Nige.

Now we are into Spring of 2016. I hope we can see a few more group Luscombes flying together this year! One big event I am putting together is "BRUG's 70th Birthday party at SYWELL on the 23/24th July - going to be fun! Can we make it a big Luscombe event? Book your rooms at the Avaiatior ASAP! There are some newly restored Luscombes out there and we hope to see them on the circuit this Summer! Lot's of chirpy and fun events going on too, enjoy them and fly safe! Nige.

A quiet Summer for many of us this year and the Luscombe fraternity is, I fear, returning to it's quiet times of yesteryear. My passion for vintage motorbikes has been partly responsible for myself enjoying quiet local flying. ???? Anyway, as we head into The Winter, let's try to get some ideas up and running to get more of us back into group flying. I've proposed a 70th Birthday celebration at Goodwood for BRUG and others who are near that age. A fly out to the Channnel Isles for overnight giggles is also on the cards just to kickstart some ideas into the air.??????????
So, let's try to keep the momentum going, let's now start meeting as a group at fly-ins once again and remember to use lot's of carb ice over Winter and Spring!???? Safe flying you guys!
Nige.

Now we are just into 2015 I wanted to wish you all a safe and healthy New Year. Many events are advertised in various sources and I hope we can make some of these with a few more of us this year in larger groups. Perhaps a meet at Oaksey, well overdue! Let us know of any plans to meet up and, although we are so spread out across the country, we can make at least one genuine effort to meet in greater numbers. SYWELL meet? Look forward to bumping into you over the coming months, fly safe. Nige. G-BRUG.

Now we are into 2014, already the diary is filling up! Keep an eye on the website and local events and tell us if you fancy joining or setting up a fly-in! Please keep those photos and videos coming in and any questions, hints or advice are greatly appreciated. Don't forget the LAA fly-in at Goodwood over the 24/25th May! This could well be THE great venue as a Luscombe rally this year! A little fly-in/BBQ will be held at yours truly G-BRUG's base, Ranston in North Dorset in June. The Old Sarum 1st Sunday in the Month fly-ins until late Spring are popular! Free landings too! Many other meetings are planned, tell us more! Fly safe and look forward to meeting up!

After a lovely summer, autumn is upon us again and often sees some of the best flying weather in the UK. There are still some fly-ins to come during October at Turweston, Compton Abbas, Popham, Brimpton, Breighton, Northrepps, Goodwood, Sackville Farm, and Wellesbourne. Old Sarum’s vintage days are scheduled throughout the winter again, and there are a number of free landing vouchers in the magazines at various airfields.

By the start of next year's flying season the web site will have been updated with a full calendar of events on the diary page. Hopefully a few of you will come forward during the Autumn to start thinking about organising a Luscombe Rally again for next year. After this year's break many have expressed a wish to have the Rally again in 2014.

Please continue to put your photos in the Image Gallery & write about any memorable flights you have had this year.
